To have a call, you need to give your browser permission to access your webcam and microphone. This usually only needs to be done the first time.

If you accidentally hit "deny" when prompted, reload the page and hit "allow".

On Chrome for computers, click "Allow" at the prompt:

If you don't see the above prompt, then select the camera icon in the address bar, and select "Always allow..." option:

If you still don't get a prompt and don't see the camera icon in the address bar, then you probably don't have a webcam, or it's not working. Get webcam and then make sure it's working properly.

On Chrome on Android mobile devices:

You can allow or block permissions for a specific site. The site will use its settings instead of the default settings.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
  2. Go to the page you are trying to access.
  3. To the right of the address bar, tap the 3 stack dots >  Info (i) .
  4. Tap Site settings.
  5. To make a change, under "Permissions," tap a setting. If you don't see a "Permissions" section, the site doesn't have any specific permissions.

On Firefox, select 'Share Selected Devices' or 'Allow' in the prompt (check 'Remember this decision' if you don't want it to ask every time):

On Safari on Mac computers:

Open safari preferences (CMD + ,) then find on the camera and microphone menus, change the settings to "Allow".

If you've allowed access but still can't get your webcam or mic, then try to:

  1. Restart your browser
  2. Restart your computer
  3. See camera not working help page
  4. See microphone not working help page
