Therapy tools: get started in 3 steps

Get started with therapy tools

Now that you have therapy tools installed on your doxy.me account, here are 3 steps to get you started.

Step 1: Generate a Business Associate Agreement (BAA)

Accessing Adhere.ly through doxy.me means you do not have to sign a separate BAA. Doxy.me has a sub-BAA with all 3rd party vendors. As long as you have a BAA generated with doxy.me, you are in compliance with HIPAA regulations for all our integrations through the doxy.me platform. To generate a separate BAA with Adhere.ly, please follow these steps:

  1. Launch Adhere.ly by selecting Therapy Tools from the left sidebar

  2. Select your name in the bottom left-hand corner of the Adhere.ly window

  3. Scroll down to the BAA section and complete all fields

  4. Click on Generate PDF

  5. After the PDF is generated, scroll to the bottom and click Download to save a copy for your files

Step 2: Pretend to be a client

The easiest way for you to familiarize yourself with Adhere.ly is to set yourself up as a client. This way you can see what the client sees when assessments, exercises, and reminders are sent out.

  1. Open therapy tools and select + Add New Client in the left-hand corner

  2. Add your name or a sample name in the First name* field

  3. Add a phone number or email

  4. Set the preferred communication method

  5. Select yourself as the client

  6. Send out a reminder to yourself:

    • Go to assessments or practice

    • Select an assessment or exercise

    • A preview will come up; select Next

    • Select Remind in the lower right-hand corner

    • Set the day, time, and form of communication

    • Select Confirm

Step 3: Add your clients

You can use Adhere.ly to save, organize, and track your clients' outcomes. To add your clients, follow these steps:

  1. Open therapy tools and select + Add New Client in the left-hand corner

  2. Add in as much information about the client as you'd like, including demographic information and caregiver information

  3. Choose Save once you're finished

  4. Repeat this process for your caseload
