File transfer is a HIPAA compliant way to send files between you and your patient. This is a better alternative to emails as the data you send might contain PHI. 

To send a file from the waiting room:

  1. Click the three dots in the patient queue 
  2. Then select More 
  3. Select Send file 
  4. Select the file to share 

To send a file while on a call: 

  1. While on a call click File Transfer on the left panel 
  2. Then Select files to share 
  3. Select file from your device 
  4. Click Open
  5. Tell your patient to accept the transfer 

You can also receive a file from you patient.

Note: File transfer is only available to Professional or Clinic users, and the maximum file size able to be transferred 100MB.
