While doxy.me allows you to meet with your patient anywhere in the world, certain state laws may restrict the provider from virtually meeting a patient across state lines. It is incumbent upon the provider to know where the patient resides during the session and to follow applicable law.

According to HealthIT.gov: "If you electronically interact with patients in other states or prescribe medication across state lines, you should establish licensure in those other states."
